Meet The Staff
A New Beginning.
At Little Brocklesby House, we offer a new home in a friendly, family atmosphere. There’s always plenty going on if you like to be busy, or, if you prefer the quiet life, just sit back and enjoy our idyllic rural surroundings. Our sweeping lawns, surrounding woodland and an abundance of wildlife is all set within the magnificent Yarborough Estate. We maintain a friendly, homely environment, where friends and family are always welcome.
Our fully trained and experienced staff work as a team, ensuring all your care needs, whether they are physical or personal, can be met to the highest standards. Your care plan is tailored specifically for your individual needs and is regularly reviewed to encompass any changes. To us, YOU are the most important aspect of care, YOU are in charge, therefore, we endeavour to provide care with a person centred approach. We strive to ensure your dignity, privacy and individuality at all times, whilst assisting you in retaining as much independence as possible.
Come and join our family.
You are the first person in any decisions made that affect your care, and you are also invited to join the regular Friends of Little Brocklesby meetings. This is an open group, where discussion on topics such as decor, trips, fundraising etc is held. Your input is important, after all, it’s your home too!
Of course, you don’t have to come to us on a long term basis, we offer short term respite care, or perhaps you just want to join us for daycare. Respite care can be accommodated for the duration of your needs, there are no set lengths of time at all. You will receive the same, top quality care enjoyed by those who live with us.
Our day care provision is available to all, and if you just want a change of scenery, you’re welcome to join us! Times can be adjusted to suit your needs, but most join us from 10.30am-5.30pm, that way they get to sample our wholesome and varied lunch and tea! Perhaps you might want to take advantage of the in-house hairdresser, who comes every week, the chiropodist who visits every 8 weeks, or even our own staff, who can offer bathing facilities and assistance whenever you like!
When it comes to activities, we offer a wide range, from arts and crafts, games, or just getting together for a chat. We have outside entertainers at the home on a regular basis, ranging from solo singers or groups, to choirs and even magicians! Our family also enjoy trips out together, such as to the seaside or the zoo for example. You and your family or friends are welcome to join us! We are always open to new ideas, and will strive to accommodate individual choices, so don’t think you have to give up that hobby!
We know that the decision to move into residential care is a hard one, no-one likes to leave their own homes and it can be a frightening, worrying time for you and your family alike. We understand this, and would say to you that it is not the end, but a new beginning, a step in life that means you can carry on being you, doing the same things you do now, just with someone at your side whenever needed. And, to your family and friends, a loved one living at Little Brocklesby does not take away your right to involvement; it just means that you can have peace of mind, knowing that they are being cared for to the best of our abilities, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. If you’re not sure, why not try us out! We’d be happy to discuss “trial days” at your convenience.
Why not give us a call for a friendly chat on 01469 560784. Just ask for Jayne.
